The Brewery

The Brewery Casa Cervecera Quinta Normal was founded on 2006 by four beer lovers. The need for a quality product that would enter the emerging market for premium beer led them to engage in the search for interesting and innovative formulas that allow to obtain a beer of the highest purity and quality.

The magical gatherings around a table on which were tasted different handcrafted beers in a home kitchen led to the founding of the House Brewery was given in a rather natural. There were two choices for that first production: Amber Ale and Stout. Over time they add a Sparkling Ale to make  more intense the freshness of the product in the summer.

The choice of the name of our beer was not easy. The Chimera was a mythological monster that embodied different representationsof the unknown and the wonderful, wild animal, full of mystery. So the name was aware of the composition of a unique being, a member of various ingredients such as the monster had members of various animals. Quimera could not be otherwise.

Craft production of the first factory showed a very difficult to tame chimera . The taste, texture and bubbles resisted for a long time to mate in that be wonderful taste it was aspiring.

And as good Chimera, left many wounded on the road. Years later we can proudly say that our Quimera, without losing their strength, their bitterness and anger, has ended up surrendering to the charms of the brewmaster and has been transformed into a delicious product full of mystique and charm.
